The Genesis of a Brand: It Can Be Very Personal.

Over a year ago, we decided we wanted to build our own brand, one that could have a mission to eventually be bigger than ourselves.

And for the last 12 months, I haven’t felt this creatively energized in years.

That lack of a true creative spark is part of what drove this idea. You see, seven years ago, my world was turned upside down. I had no idea that going below the surface would save my life.

The ruthless world of the advertising industry had chewed me up and spit me out. I had dedicated my life to creatively solving other’s business problems. Instead ignoring my own and the impacts of the stress, while saying “it’s worth it for what’s coming later.”

What came later though, was darkness instead.

It took SCUBA diving to find my way out. It became my therapy. It helped me remember who I was. I had found myself down below.

Through our travels, my wife had an idea for us to turn those adventures into something more. “There’s an opportunity here to do something bigger than ourselves.”

So, we said let’s share the power the ocean has on the soul with as many others as we can. How can we get more people in, under and around the water? We needed a “something” that could do it.

That’s where BlueTherapy and Find Yourself Below™ was born.
